Unfortunately it would soon be outclassed by the emergence of Group B and its monstrous machines, especially the 4-wheel drive competitors with a clear dirt track advantage over the 2-wheel rear drive R5 Turbo, even with the 350 hp evolution of the Maxi Turbo. Proof that cult status can be achieved even without a long list of victories.Only 1600 were ever produced but you can still get a pair of them right now!

The P-47 Thunderbolt was the largest, heaviest, and most expensive single-engined fighter aircraft in history. The "Big Stud" was flown over Europe during WW2 by an American Ace who led the 325th Fighter Group. Originally planned to be a lightweight interceptor, the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt evolved into a heavyweight fighter plane, weighing up to eight tons when fully loaded. It was the largest single-engined fighter of its era and a vast improvement over its predecessor, the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk. With twice the weight of a Spitfire and an 18-cylinder, 2,600-horsepower Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp that could push her to over 440mph and up to 40,000 feet.The T-Bolt started flying in the United States Army Air Forces in 1942. Its primary armament was eight .50 calibre machine guns, quite useful in high-altitude escort missions. But it was in ground attack sorties that the P-47 proved most effective. As a low-level fighter-bomber, it would be armed with 5-inch rockets or a bomb load of 2,500 lb (1,100 kg). The P-47 quickly gained a reputation for ruggedness. Its sturdy construction and air-cooled radial engine enabled the Thunderbolt to absorb severe battle damage and keep flying.One of the Jug's most notorious party tricks was the ability to out-dive other aircraft, using its weight to turn the tables in a dogfight. On the off chance you haven't heard of him, Shmee150 is the brand of Tim Burton, a blogger/youtuber who travels the world in search of the greatest and most exclusive automotive content - it's a tough gig doing Gumball 3000 or Mille Miglia but, hey, somebody's got to take one for team petrolhead, right?This is a man who's current car collection - dubbed The Shmeemobiles - includes, besides the obvious super exclusive hypercar McLaren Senna, an Aston Martin Vantage GT8, Ford GT, Merc-AMG GT R, Mclaren 675LT Spyder and… *drum roll please*… a lime green Suzuki Jimny! Not bad for a guy who started off with a 1.2 Renault Clio…Anyway, we're clearly fans of the lifestyle so we partnered up with Shmee150 to create a Limited Edition of regular and low-cut sock designs based on Tim's own Cerulean Blue McLaren Senna, with a dark blue carbon fiber effect.

The Williams FW16 competed in the 1994 Formula One season and was raced by British driver Damon Hill to finish runner-up in the 1994 World Drivers Championship. Unfortunately it was also the car in which Ayrton Senna was killed during the third race of the 1994 season. This is our tribute to the greatest F1 driver of all time.
